Professional Work Experience
Mr. Hoong has been in practice as a Chartered Accountant (previously known as Certified Public Accountant) since 1987. Besides his audit function in financial audit, he has also undertaken numerous special assignments which include operational audit, due diligence, corporate restructuring and tax planning. He also acts as a management consultant to his clients and has worked in range of consultancy projects covering China, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Malaysia. These projects included corporate planning, project financing, and advisory services in mergers and acquisitions.
Mr Hoong has been actively involved in social and community work. He has headed the Audit Committee of a charity hospital and nursing home, and is currently holding the post of Honorary Secretary of the hospital. Mr Hoong also seats in the post of Chairman and Director in other non-profit organizations in Singapore.
